2023 Design Competition

The design of this space is characterized by its clean lines, abundant natural light, and the use of cohesive materials, most notably modern organic walnut accents. These elements work together harmoniously to create an ambiance of balance and unity.

These back-painted glossy green upper cabinets serve as a striking focal point, injecting a lively and vibrant pop of color into the overall aesthetic of this modern kitchen. Their bold presence catches the eye and infuses the space with energy and personality.

The heart of the kitchen is a generously sized center island featuring a breathtaking natural marble slab that serves as the perfect surface for rolling out pastries and culinary creations.

A lighted mirror provides beautiful ambient lighting and face illumination, while a wall-mounted faucet offers a modern aesthetic.

Now the client has their own primary bathroom complete with a luxurious wet room. They have a large soaker tub and no kid toys in sight. The room also features double Luxe gold showerheads with individual temp control and an adjustable height hand shower to easily clean and rinse every nook and cranny. The towel hooks inside the wet room means they don’t have to leave to dry off.

The vanity features a generously sized and durable quartz counter with storage below for hair appliances and self-care products. The design is youthful yet sophisticated enough to grow with clients into young adulthood.

The island has a live-edge wood-raised seating area that connects the space to the surrounding environment. An expansive sliding window offers unobstructed views of the outdoors. A flush ceiling exhaust fan maintains a clean ceiling and provides ventilation.

The spacious shower provides sanctuary, embracing occupants with the soothing embrace of natural materials in earth-toned hues. Its warm and inviting ambiance creates a cocoon of comfort and tranquility, making each showering experience a retreat from the outside world.

Our Hacienda Hideaway reflects our plan perfectly. The vanity inset is arched with a recessed mirror to reflect the back wall niche. The repeat of the tile works perfectly with the size and placement of the wall mount faucets. A hammered metal sink add texture. Our goal was a Mediterranean style bathroom to feel as if it was an original in the 1929 home.
